
Refund and Returns Policy
At SME Warehousing Solutions, we want you to order with confidence. This policy explains when an item can be returned, how to start a return, who pays for return shipping, and how refunds are processed. It applies to all orders placed on smewarehousingsolutions.co.za and shipped within South Africa and across the SADC region.

Return windows and eligibility
Damaged, faulty or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Where possible, include clear photos of the item and its packaging so we can resolve it quickly. We will repair, replace, or refund the item, and we cover the cost of return shipping or arrange collection at no charge to you.
Change-of-mind returns
If you simply change your mind, you may return an item within 14 days of delivery, provided it is unused, in a resaleable condition, and in its original, undamaged packaging with all parts, manuals and accessories included. Proof of purchase is required.
Returned goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. For higher-value items we recommend a tracked, insured courier.
Items that cannot be returned
- Custom-made or special-order items produced or sourced specifically for you.
- Items that have been used, installed, fitted, or modified, unless they are faulty.
- Items damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear.
- Products returned without proof of purchase, or outside the return windows above.
We supply physical goods only. We do not sell digital downloads or subscription products, so digital-goods and subscription-cancellation terms do not apply.
How to start a return
- Email sales@smewarehousingsolutions.co.za or message us on WhatsApp at +27 71 065 8119.
- Quote your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason. Attach photos if the item is damaged or faulty.
- We will confirm whether the return is approved and send you the return instructions and address.
- Pack the item securely and send it back, or wait for us to arrange collection where applicable.
Please do not send any item back before your return has been confirmed by our team.
Return shipping costs
If the return is the result of our error — a damaged, faulty, or incorrect item — SME Warehousing Solutions covers the return shipping cost or arranges collection at no charge to you. For change-of-mind returns, the cost of return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. We do not charge any restocking fee.
Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we inspect it and notify you by email whether your refund has been approved or declined.
Approved refunds are made to your original payment method — EFT or bank transfer, or your card via PayFast or Ozow — within 7–14 business days of approval. The time it takes for funds to reflect can vary depending on your bank or card provider.
The original delivery charge is refunded only where the item was faulty, damaged, or incorrect, or where a refund of delivery is required by law.
Late or missing refunds
If you have not received an approved refund after 14 business days, please first check with your bank or card provider, as processing on their side can take additional time. If you still need help, contact us at sales@smewarehousingsolutions.co.za and we will follow it up for you.
Exchanges
We replace items that are defective or damaged on arrival with the same product, subject to stock availability. If you would like an exchange, contact us and we will guide you through the process.
Warranty
All products we supply are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. Please keep your proof of purchase. If you need to make a warranty claim, contact us and we will help you arrange it with the manufacturer or supplier.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act. Where the Act gives you stronger protection than this policy, the Act applies.
